Kentucky teacher accused of giving 14 minors alcohol and marijuana at New Year’s party
Officials have announced that a woman in Mount Washington, Kentucky, has been taken into custody after she was caught giving marijuana and alcohol to minors at a New Year’s party. The woman is said to be a teacher with the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS). According to a report that was cited by local media, 36-year-old Lindsey Lewis worked as a special education teacher at the Phoenix School of Discovery.
WDRB reported that Lewis has been employed with the school district since 2016. She was arrested early on January 1 morning after police officers said that they received calls about a party in a residence and went to break it up on New Year’s Eve. The party was reportedly said to have had a group of teenagers attending it.
According to the arrest report, authorities said that they were called to a residence in the 300 block of Boaz Lane in the Mount Washington area a little before 1 am.
