Guam school bus side-swiped; DOE special education students unharmed
A public school bus carrying special education students was involved in a minor accident Friday morning. No one was injured, according to Guam Department of Education.
A car side-swiped the bus at approximately 8 a.m., near the Shell gas station in Harmon, DOE said.
On board were five students of Luis P. Untalan Middle School and P.C. Lujan Elementary School, both in Barrigada, DOE said.
A DOE school administrator was en route to assess the situation, DOE said in a release issued at 8:20 a.m. The incident was reported to the Guam Police Department, the release stated.
This was the second traffic collision this week involving school buses. On Tuesday, Jan. 23, a bus carrying 30 Untalan Middle students was rear-ended in Latte Heights, Mangilao. No one was injured in the crash.
