D.A.: Couple running special needs pre-school stole $771K in public funds for cars, Costco trips

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A New Jersey couple is accused of siphoning taxpayer funds from a Willowbrook special needs school to pay for personal indulgences like luxury cars and shopping trips to Costco.

Dennis and Elsie Mosesman were indicted on grand larceny charges for allegedly stealing approximately $771,000 in public funds by falsifying business records for the Gingerbread Learning Center, a pre-school that serves three- to five-year- olds, authorities announced Tuesday.
